At Startrit Infratech, we develop the Smart Road Infrastructure Automation Solution (SRIAS™) System, which optimises traffic flow in real time, reduces congestion, improves road safety, and minimises emissions.

Dr. V. Arun Kumar
Chief Technology Mentor | Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering Expert | R&D Leader
Dr. V. Arun Kumar is a distinguished aerospace and mechanical engineering professional with over four decades of experience in research, technology development, innovation, and engineering leadership. He served as Head of the Propulsion Division at the National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL) in Director’s grade from 1976 to 2011 and subsequently served as Professor at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology.
Currently, he serves as Non-Executive Director at Startrit Infratech Pvt Ltd, Chief Technology Mentor at Dheya Technology Ltd., Bengaluru, and Adjunct Professor (R&D) at B.M.S. College of Engineering, while also contributing as a technical consultant and advisor to leading technology and engineering organizations.
Dr. Arun Kumar has led numerous R&D projects, authored 100+ technical publications, and holds 12 granted patents across India, the US, Japan, and Europe, with additional patents under process. He has also served on several national technical, review, and assessment committees.
His distinguished contributions to engineering and aerospace technology have been recognized through awards including the NAL Outstanding Performance Award (1988), National Design Award in Mechanical Engineering (1999), and the Biren Roy Award (2011). He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Madras, along with an M.Sc. (Engineering) from Madras University and a B.E. from Bangalore University.
